Cranial Osteopathy

At the Osteopathic Wellness Center we offer proven, holistic treatment for relieving pain and healing injuries. Dr. David Johnston is a caring physician who is committed to helping his patients feel better. Dr. Johnston practices cranial osteopathy, which is a very gentle hands-on treatment of the muscles, joints, fascia (connective tissue), and bones in the cranium that opens circulation, relieves congestion, releases tension, and aligns the skeletal structure. Restoring natural balance to the body helps it to function optimally and to bring health to the nervous, endocrine and immune systems.

 Mission Statement

Our mission at Osteopathic Wellness Center is to ignite the internal healing process so patients can recover from injury quickly and naturally, through very gentle and precise hands-on manipulation. We are here to help : our practitioners will encourage you develop a new routine or lifestyle in order to improve your symptoms and guide you back into your active lifestyle.

Nutritional Supplements

Eating a balanced diet is vital for good health and well-being. Food provides our bodies with the energy, protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to live, grow and function properly. Proper nutrients assist the body to recover quickly from sickness and injury by boosting the immune system. In addition, they can slow the aging process and enhance mood and mental clarity.

As part of your care, we offer nutritional testing and guidance to support the wellness of an individual’s lifestyle and to address their health concerns. To help support a balanced diet and optimal health, we may recommend nutritional supplements based on your test results and symptoms.

Detoxification

Detoxification from a nutritional standpoint helps you to cleanse the body of dietary and environmental pollutants. Our bodies are bombarded on a daily basis from the use of numerous substances, toxins, preservatives, and so on that will impede health, encourage aging, interfere with normal hormonal balance, affect sleep, and predispose a person to disease. A suitable detoxification strategy using supplements and dietary guidelines will clear inflammation from your body and give you clearer skin, greater energy, stronger digestive well-being, and better focus. To get the most from your detox strategy, it’s important to work with a trained physician, like Dr. Johnston, to ensure the program meets your needs and takes into account your unique health conditions and targets.

Specialized Lab Testing

Dr. Johnston has a variety of highly advanced testing protocols available that help to get to the root and cause of a patient’s overall health condition. Specialized testing delivers personalized insights about the way nutrition and environment impact someone’s body. The results help Dr. Johnston identify and target treatment and supplements that are right for your body and your lifestyle.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Instability in your feet can result in heel pain/plantar fasciitis, unequal leg length, muscle imbalance, low back pain, knee or hip pain, or pain in the ball of foot or arch. Custom orthotics can correct a condition called flat feet (pronation). This eliminates the need for your body to compensate for misalignment anywhere in your lower extremity and eliminates pain. At Osteopathic Wellness Center, we may recommend custom-made foot orthotics (shoe inserts)  when needed to help your feet function in their optimal, neutral position. We work directly with ComfortFit Orthotics to order and fit them for you.
